Marc & Nif have known each other since high school. During their high school years they were in the same core group of friends that went on some amazing school trips together and then kept the party going all the way to senior year. After graduating high school they both traveled to The Netherlands for their studies. While in The Netherlands the relationship grew more serious and they realised that they shared something quite special. Things gradually moved on from there until they eventually moved in together in a lovely apartment in Utrecht, where they still reside today.

On one fateful day in 2019 things changed forever. Nif traveled a lot for her job and she was frequently abroad at some amazing locations. So Marc decided to organise a getaway vacation to Barcelona to go on a Mediterranean cruise. What Nif didn't know was that he was also planning on asking the big question! Now it seemed easy, Marc thought he would take her to Barcelona, pop the question and then they would be off on a cruise to celebrate. But the stars had other plans. Marc tried 2 separate times to pop the question, there was always something that interrupted. On the final day in Barcelona he had reserved a lovely restaurant and was sure that this was it! Well, when it rains it pours, literally.... on that same day there was the biggest storm of the summer and nobody could go anywhere for the whole day as the storm raged outside.... So that takes us to cruise day. On the first day of the cruise, Nif was enjoying herself oblivious to the fact that Marc was constantly trying to improvise a proposal moment as his carefully laid plans were out the window at this point. Then came the moment of truth. After the captain's dinner, Marc decided it was now or never, faked an injury and went down in agony. Nifi of course ran over to help, only to find Marc completely fine and on one knee with a ring in his hands. And thus here we are with a wedding coming soon.....
