This was the day Marc proposed to Madison! It was important to us that we not get married during the summer, and this just happened to be the date that meant the most to us.
Yes! Both our ceremony and reception will take place at the Nicholas Arbor space at the Huntsville Botanical Garden.
Both the ceremony and reception will take place inside.
Our ceremony is scheduled to start at 2:30 pm. To ensure you don't arrive during the ceremony, please try to be at the gardens no later than 2:00 pm. The Nicholas Arbor space is a bit of a walk into the gardens, so 2:00 would allow for enough time to walk to the space and be seated before the start of the ceremony. The gardens are open to our guests for free during garden hours, so if you arrive early you're more than welcome to walk around before the ceremony.
We have opted for a combo bar. Each guest (21 and older) will receive two complimentary drinks. If you wish to drink more, it will be cash bar from there.
We will be serving dinner at 5:00 pm, following the ceremony. To comply with garden bar regulations, the bar will be open after the ceremony from 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm. The bar will then reopen from 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm.
If you have any food restrictions, please inform the bride, groom, or mother of the bride well in advance so our caterer can accommodate.
We have a strict guest list to stay on budget. Our wedding is RSVP only, and we will only able to accommodate those listed on your invitation.
Absolutely! We encourage pictures and videos during the reception. We will, however, be having a unplugged ceremony. Our officiant will announce a designated time (once everyone is at the alter) for our guests to take pictures if anyone wishes to do so. Please do not take any pictures while the bridal party walks down the aisle or after the designated time of the ceremony.
