If you have a full day and are feeling adventurous, we highly suggest heading to the WWC for rafting, zip lining, kayaking, paddle boarding, tree top climbs or simple sit with a pint and watch the rafters try and stay on!
Charlotte has a TON of breweries and this one was the first to put us on the map. Traditional German made beers and lots of delicious food. In this same area are also Sugar Creek Brewing, Brewer's at Yancy (Victory and Southern Tier brewing), Broken Spoke, Doc Porter's Distillery, Queen Park Social, and lots more! You can also use the light rail to take a brewery tour from OMB to Noda with around 20 breweries in between.
During October, our amusement park turns into Scarowinds (and you all know my obsession with Halloween). At night there are haunted houses and the rides stay open till midnight. You can get a day pass to the park or just go at night but definitely worth it if you love Halloween like me.
We have so many amazing restaurants to choose from with cuisine from all over the world. If you want to try a few places all in one spot, I recommend coming here for: Barcelona - Spanish tapas and wine Superica - Mexican cuisine Hawkers - Asian street food Jeni's Ice Cream - the Ohio folks know how good this stuff is! Price's - best fried chicken - it was actually voted that in Thrillist Leroy Fox - casual but delicious .... the list goes on and on. Plus you can walk the rail trail after if you're feeling full.
Join us on October 11th, Friday evening at 8pm as we meet all of our guests and relax with a few cocktails. Welcome to Charlotte!
