We understand that Labor Day weekend is an expensive time to travel, so an Air-bnb might be a more affordable accommodation than a hotel. You can find some hidden gems on the south shore of Long Island and have the whole place to yourself! We recommend looking for a place to stay in Massapequa, Wantagh, Freeport, Merrick, or East Meadow. If you are traveling with a large group or if you planned on staying through the holiday weekend, this would probably be your most affordable option.

Ferry Information
Friends and family driving from New England, please consider taking the Bridgeport/Port Jefferson Ferry to cut down on travel time and to avoid city traffic. You can buy a vehicle ticket to drive on for about $70 and you can book a reservation about a month in advanced.

JFK is a great option for direct flights and is an easy drive to the south shore of Long Island, where we will be spending most of our time together.

MacArthur Airport in Islip
MacArthur is a small airport that will likely not have a direct flight, but will still get the job done with you want to fly directly into Long Island. It is central to where we will be spending most of our time together and has on-site car rental services.
