Is there a dress code?

We’re thrilled to celebrate our big day with you in formal style! Please join us in wearing black-tie optional attire for the evening. For men: A classic tuxedo or a black suit with a formal dress shirt, black tie or bow tie, and black dress shoes. If a tuxedo isn’t your style, a black suit is perfectly appropriate. For women: A formal, floor-length evening gown or dress. We want everyone to feel comfortable and confident, so please don’t feel the need to rent or purchase a tuxedo—your best suit will work beautifully!

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

To make things even easier, we will be providing transportation to and from the venue for guests staying at these locations. Stay tuned for further details on pick-up and drop-off times.

What time should guests arrive?

Answer

We kindly ask all guests who are not using the provided transportation to arrive by 4:00PM to ensure the ceremony begins promptly at 4:30PM.

Can I bring a date?

We kindly request that only those individuals specifically named on the invitation attend. Due to limited capacity, we are unable to accommodate additional guests. We sincerely appreciate your understanding and support.

We adore your children, but we’ve decided to keep our wedding an adults-only event. Thank you so much for understanding!

What is the closest airport?

Answer

The closest airport to Pawleys Island, SC, is Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR), which is about 23 miles away. Driving from the airport to Pawleys Island takes approximately 25-35 minutes.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Yes! We will be having a welcome party Friday, May 15, 2026. The Terrace is located at the front of our property near Coastal Dish and Guest Registration. Your guests will be able to park in the Summerhouse parking area for the closest access to the venue. Please see the Schedule section for details.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there is parking at the venue, although we highly recommend taking the provided transportation.

Is there an after party?

Answer

Yes! The celebration continues at The Pit for more drinks and dancing! Transportation will be able take guests there. The detailed transportation schedule will be posted closer to the wedding. You can find the after-party location at the link provided here: https://pawleysislandtavern.com/
