During their sophomore year in 2016 at the University of Minnesota, Calvin and Marah met as a blind match at a date party. That night and many more over the next 2 years included making memories over music, movies, comedy shows, food, gopher game days, exploring Minneapolis, and an occasional study session. The friend group knew before Marah and Calvin, that they were meant to be. Eventually the two caught up. In 2018 at the start of their senior year, a relationship began after an official date: baking chocolate chip cookies and watching scary movies. From there, Calvin and Marah supported each other through completing their Bachelor degrees and Calvin starting his first post college job. Marah achieved her graduate degree as a Doctor of Physical Therapy, beginning her career soon after with both moving into a cozy Hopkins apartment in 2022. The next year they adopted two beloved tuxedo cats (Kirby and Boo). Recently in 2025, Calvin also began graduate school to obtain a Masters in IO Psychology. Their engagement in 2024 was discussed throughout the years and expected, but was a joyful surprise none the less, during a weekend vacation in Stillwater. It was spent touring the main street shops, reminiscing past adventures, laughing, and dancing the night away. Calvin and Marah began with a friendship, growing into each others true best friend and life partner. They are so excited to continue on with this story, bringing loved ones along the way.
