Like many modern love stories, ours began with a swipe on Hinge. Our first date was at Park and Field in Logan Square, followed by a second date on the tennis courts, where Mara attempted to show off her high school skills. Many of our dates also either started or ended at Homeslice in Lincoln Park, where we quickly became regulars. Just about a month after meeting, we knew this was more than a summer fling and began dating. Four years of back-and-forth between the West suburbs and Chicago led us here, and we couldn’t be happier to have started this next chapter together in the South Loop. We have loved exploring our neighborhood, finding favorite happy hour spots, and enjoying long walks along the lakefront. While living just steps away from Soldier Field, Alex successfully turned Mara into a devoted Chicago Bears fan. Sunday football quickly became a tradition for us, so it only felt right to include the Bears in our engagement photos. After settling into our life together in the South Loop, Alex proposed along the lakefront in front of the Adler Planetarium. We’re beyond excited to celebrate the next chapter with friends and family who have been part of our journey leading up to this day!
