Her Story: ...I found myself at Dugan’s on Ponce in Summer 2011. I was there celebrating Britt’s birthday and she introduced me to everyone. I hadn’t been out in a while and had a blast, so we became regulars there. That October, I remember sitting in “our” booth and he was singing “Say Yes” by Floetry. I looked at Britt and said “damn...he’s cute”. lol. Obviously I hadn’t paid much attention to him prior to this because I was there to sing and enjoy myself, not make a love connection. It wasn’t until the following summer that we began talking everyday and even hanging out together with our girls. Everything after that was a blur, but he became my very best friend and number one supporter, and now, my husband. He doesn’t believe me when I say I wasn’t checking for him in the beginning, and that I spoke to him for months before I really even paid him any attention, but it’s true. I’m glad I did though. He’s everything I ever could’ve hoped for and more! His Story: ...I was doing my hosting of karaoke at Dugan’s on Ponce. This quiet young lady used to always sit in the booth by the karaoke set up next to me. I used to check on her and make sure she was straight. But when we talked, it was different somehow, so you know I had to get the digits...more so on the friend tip. My assumption was correct. You rarely find a person you can talk to on the phone for hours and lose track of time. It didn’t take long before I was calling her one of my best friends. The conversations were so effortless and we would talk about any and everything. We went out a few times and before we knew it, best friend turned into me not seeing myself being without her. The perfect picture to my frame and purely heaven sent.
