We met at Brian's (the bar) in downtown Stillwater. Brian decided to work from his mom's office that Friday. He then went to meet up with Danny, Thom, and Priebs. Jill was going to a happy hour with Brian's cousin, Becky, after they had a long day of keeping small humans alive. Becky suggested they go meet up with the boys. They did. Brian sat at the opposite end of the table as Jill and said exactly two words to her, "hey" and "bye." While Brian maintains that he was trying to be "mysterious," Jill left that night thinking there was zero interest on his part. He texted Becky later that night, "would love to get Jill's number if she's interested." Becky passed it along to Jill, who was shocked. No numbers were exchanged that night and Brian continued to remain mysterious for a month. On Saint Patrick's day, after Jill gained some liquid courage, she called Brian. They agreed to go out that following day at Lucky 13 in Roseville. What was supposed to be an hour meeting turned into three and they agreed to go out again that week. Brian suggested Mizu. Jill ordered chopsticks from Amazon and practiced with them for the dinners leading up to the date. Finally, she texted Brian and asked if they could just go to a bar and play pull tabs. They went to Saks and again spent hours talking. They only won $100 but they were rich in love at this point. Anyways, fast forward multiple trips, moving into together and introducing the best rescue dog (Chuck) to Jill, they merged their lives. Brian proposed to Jill at the Cliffs of Moher in Ireland on March 26th. It was something out of a fairytale (or Harry Potter-iykyk). Brian had to ask twice because Jill was too excited and jumping up and down. It was perfect, he's perfect (wait you thought Brian wrote this?...no way). Can't wait to share our day with you! A special 'Thank You' to Becky Peer for making this all happen.
