Flights are now available to Guatemala City (GUA) from the United States. If you are flying out of Chicago or San Francisco we recommend using American Airlines or United Airlines. If you are flying out of BWI (Maryland) we recommend using Delta or Copa Airlines. We recommend comparing prices to ensure you get the best deal.

Traveling to Antigua from Airport

We do not recommend renting a car unless you will be doing excursions outside of our wedding activities. Traveling from Guatemala City to Antigua takes approximately 1-2 hours depending on traffic. Please confirm travel arrangements by scheduling a ride at any of the following websites: Daytrip, GuateGo, Viator, WelcomePickups. Shuttle

Shuttles from GUA to Antigua (Wed & Thurs)

We’ve locked in private group shuttles to get everyone safely from the Guatemala City airport (GUA) to Antigua. To stay ahead of the city traffic, the group shuttles will depart the airport at 2:30 PM (with a strict 3:00 PM wheels-up cutoff) on both Wednesday, October 14th and Thursday, October 15th. To catch the free shuttle: Please look for flights landing no later than 1:30 PM so you have enough time to clear customs and grab your bags. Note: If your flight lands later than that, no worries at all! Grabbing a private Uber straight to Antigua is incredibly safe, easy, and cheap (around $35), but you'll just need to coordinate that on your own.

Shuttle from Antigua to GUA Airport (Sunday 10/18/2026)

We’ve locked in two Sunday morning group shuttles (20 seats each) to get everyone from Antigua back to the Guatemala City airport (GUA) safely and on time. Because you need to be at the airport 3 hours before international flights, we will group everyone based on departure times: Shuttle #1 leaves at 7:00 AM (Best for flights leaving between 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM). Shuttle #2 leaves at 9:00 AM (Best for flights leaving between 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM). Note: If you have a late evening flight, we highly recommend hanging out in Antigua for the day and splitting a safe, easy $35 Uber later, as these morning shuttles leave early.
