It was May the 4th that Manuel decided he wanted his and Allie’s grandparents to meet. Star Wars day is taken very seriously in their household, one of the most important days of the year to Allie, so they scheduled dinner after they spent all day binge watching. They met at Olive Garden, and much more family arrived than Allie expected. Before they were finished with their meal, Manny “dropped” his fork, and instead of bending down to get it, he got down on one knee and asked Allie to marry him. Allie, happily surprised, said “yes!” and the whole restaurant erupted in applause and cheers. The waitress even brought them a dessert that said congratulations! A normal pasta dinner on Star Wars day turned into their lives being brought together forever. Manuel asked for both her brother’s, and her grandmother’s blessing for her hand in marriage, which they both agreed to. He coordinated with both families and kept any suspicions Allie had away.
