1st Date (Wyatt’s Version) Manu and I have known each other since high school. Well, partially. Let’s not talk about the boring parts, let's skip to the good and juicy parts, the tea! 🍵 One day a damsel in distress needed help, and me being the gentlemen I am, I came to her rescue. I fixed her car for below market value and went on my way. That must have stuck because she ended up trying to talk a couple months later (in which I denied for reasons IYKYK 👀). But after the 2nd or 3rd time I said what the heck. We talked day and night and it led to us getting pretty close. On one thirsty evening she got the courage to ask me out to hike pill boxes in Lanikai for sunrise. I said yes curiously! What Manu didn't know at the time was I live on the west side of the island so that meant waking up at 4 am in the morning just to pick her up before sunrise. We went on that date little did I know it would be “The Hike that changed my world”. After we finished “The Hike”™ we both knew there was something more. That date that was supposed to be only 2 hours ended up being 5-6 hours long. We got breakfast coffee and then went to the beach. We talked for hours until I had to drop her off at home to go to work. The bond that day was something like no other. We talked all week and exactly one week later we went on our first official date and it's been history ever since. Engagement Story Wyatt and I love to travel. It has been a passion for both of us throughout our relationship. Two years into our relationship I found my dream job as a flight attendant. It has allowed us to travel even more than we imagined. We have taken countless trips together. However, on November 1st, 2024 we took a trip to Salt Lake City that would be one of my most memorable working trips of my career. He tagged along with me as he usually does, and I suspected nothing. He said we should go check out the Red Bute Botanical Garden because he knows I love flowers (later on he told me he chose this location because it has been a tradition for us to go to botanical gardens wherever we travel and it’s where our relationship first started). Little did I know he was planning on proposing up there with the beautiful snowy mountains in the background! I really thought I would know when he was going to propose but it was a complete shock to me! So much so that I thought he was joking! It was one of the most beautiful moments in our relationship.
