Wedding Ceremony

A Nepali wedding ceremony is a meaningful cultural and religious celebration that symbolizes the union of two individuals and the joining of their families. Arrival of the Groom (Janti) The ceremony begins with the groom arriving with family and friends in a festive procession. Welcoming Rituals The bride’s family greets the groom with traditional blessings and tika, symbolizing respect and the joining of families. Garland Exchange (Swayamvar) The bride and groom exchange garlands to symbolize acceptance and the start of their partnership. Sacred Fire Ritual A priest recites prayers while the couple performs rituals around a sacred fire, representing commitment and divine blessings. Sindoor Ceremony The groom places sindoor in the bride’s hair parting, symbolizing marriage. Family Blessings Parents and elders bless the couple for happiness and a prosperous life together.

Reception

5:00 pm - 11:00 pm

The reception will take place the day after the wedding ceremony and is a time for family and friends to gather and celebrate the newly married couple. The evening will include dinner, music, dancing, and joyful celebration together.
