In the summer of 2011, on an early Monday morning, Manny saw Jaleesa from across a large room walking briskly towards her seat. He knew he had to meet her. They were both attending a teacher training program that lasted a week. While Jaleesa was eating lunch, Manny thought it would be a good idea to get to meet the girl that he looked forward to seeing. While she seemed uninterested at first, he knew he had to put in some extra effort to get to know her better. A few weeks later, they went out to eat sushi. An interesting fact worth mentioning is that Manny does not like sushi but pretended he did just to keep the flow of the evening going. It was an evening of great conversation, loud laughs, slow walks, and an eagerness to meet again. And so they did, many times again.
