Because Dayna and Manny sure did not. But their story is as close as it gets. Their first date they spent a summer day at Ottawa’s Busker Festival, walking around, watching street performers, and getting to know each other. Later in the evening, they were walking when fireworks unexpectedly went off in the sky. They stopped to watch without really planning to, just taking it in together. After that, the conversation just kept going, and everything felt easy from the start, like they’d already known each other. On their second date, they grabbed iced coffees and headed to Gatineau Park. Even though it was raining, they spent over 4 hours talking and laughing while poor Manny held up an umbrella. That’s all it took – a matter of a few hours to fall in love. Little did Dayna know, Manny would one day bring her back to that same spot, on that bridge, to ask her to marry him. The rest is history!
