We’re getting married!

Told by Jami... March 2019: my first conversation with Manny was me asking for his number only because he had a car and could drive me home to and from school or the grocery store, seems shallow I know. July 2019: Time for Hillsong Conference where I wouldn’t leave him alone! I considered us pretty good friends at this point but he later told me that he thought I was the most boring girl in the world during that time and wondered why I kept wanting to be around him. Over the next few weeks manny and Sax would come over to my house every Wednesday and stay late with Caroline and I having the best time. During these hangouts we would go from playing games and laughing to having deep talks about EVERYTHING so we all got to know each other very well. Manny became one of my best friends and we were almost inseparable; texting everyday, sitting by each other in classes, and eventually serving at the same church campus! January 2020: The day I returned to Australia Manny was the first person I texted and told to come over. We hung out almost everyday up until the day we moved back to America. It was this month that we had started serving at the same church campus and he was the only person I knew there so I was by his side all day! With this new atmosphere I got to see a new side of Manny and how he used his talent to serve and care for Gods people. He caught my attention in a new way but I was very in denial because every time one of us was asked if we liked the other our response was always “he or she is the LAST person I would EVER be with!!” March 17, 2020: Manny asks me to be his girlfriend and I said yes!! From this day up until May 8, 2020 (the day we flew back to America) we had only missed one day without spending time together. May 30, 2020: We are about to go to dinner with our families when he surprises me in the front of our gorgeous hotel with the perfect ring!
