In December of 2017, mutual friend Lisa Halko arranged for Jon, Meaghan and herself to take a workout class together at the YMCA as a plan for the two to meet. The class was small, only 8 or so people, so there was no way to avoid conversation. A few weeks into the 6 week class, Lisa conveniently stopped attending. Jon and Meaghan began to talk and he asked her to play a game a racquetball. After racquetball, they had drinks. They went on their first “official date” a week later. They have been together ever since!

Jon proposed to Meaghan in February of 2019 in their living room. The two were planning on going to dinner that night and Meaghan had a long weekend off from work. She went shopping (to Target, of course!) while Jon nervously awaited her for to return. When she got back, he changed into his finest outfit and present Meaghan with a large box. The box contained a cake from their favorite local bakery with the words, “Will you marry me?” on top. He got down on me knee and the rest is history!
