Randyland is a free, eccentric public garden in the North Side neighborhood. Anthony Bourdain said that visiting is essential for the "perfect day in Pittsburgh".
The one-half square mile shopping district is chock full of ethnic grocers, produce stands, meat and fish markets, and sidewalk vendors. We love strolling through Wholey's and Pennsylvania Macaroni Co. (Penn Mac for short!), grabbing a pepperoni roll at Mancini's or a cheese steak at Peppi's, enjoying a La Prima cappuccino, and eyeing all the Pittsburgh sports merch on the sidewalks. If you happen to walk by while the Sambok Food Stand is open, we highly recommend the mung bean pancake (Sara's favorite) and the chicken on a stick (Greg's go-to).
