Long story short- we met on the first day of freshman year at ESU. We were neighbors in the dorms! We became close friends, and 7 months later, we officially started dating.

Per usual, I was at the mall (as I usually am on Saturday mornings) not knowing that Rocco & Frannie (our 8 lb Chiweenie) were busy planning the proposal at home. I was 2 hours late, and he waited impatiently for me to get home. When I got home, I noticed that Fran had a little bandana on. When I got closer, and as Fran barked and rolled out of excitement, I noticed that the bandana read “Will you marry my dad?” After a few “what the &!*@“ I turned the corner to find Rocco down on one knee. Our dear Frannie passed away five days later, but the three of us shared a moment that we will treasure for a lifetime.
