M : Wow, it still gets to me every time I think about the time we met. I’m literally writing a book about this one but the story is so crazy that I have to add in the details . It was September 24th 2022. My girls and I were out celebrating due to me finishing the second semester of nursing school. We decided to go to Nashville that day and have a small slumber party and check out downtown. That’s when I ran into Ben. He had on a white polo, a cowboy hat, and cowboy boots on. He was in Nashville for his cousin’s bachelor party. They had drove four hours from home to celebrate and Saturday was his last night in Tennessee. It was crazy because it seemed like the whole night him and his guys and me and my girls never left each other sight. It was like we all came together and was just in one big group. The first one on one interaction between Ben and I was when I was trying to put my boots back on after I took them off for a while because my feet were hurting so bad. I guess I looked like I was struggling ,because Ben came over and assisted me with putting back on my boots. Maybe 15 minutes later Ben came to the side of the table I was sitting on and slide me his phone. He was so slick and smooth with it when he did it too. We added each other on Snapchat and then after that we went our separate ways but still like I said our groups stayed close to each other. Well y’all , I had to take my boots off again and when I tried to put them back on here comes Ben again coming to my rescue to assist me. In my head I was like either he’s really a sweet guy and like what he sees or he trying to get something lol. When it was time go back to the hotel, We all started to walk towards the stair way. And when I say we, I mean my girls and also Ben boys left at the same time. Here is the fairytale to me, when it was time for me to walk down the stairs, I hear someone say do you need help. When I looked to my left it was Ben y’all here to help me again. I told him "Yes!" because my feet were hurting and any support would help lol. So I gave him my hand and he escorted me down the steps. It was weird because literally within seconds the whole stair way that was first full of people seemed to clear when it was time for us to walk together. It was like this moment was made just for us. When we reached the end we heard a group of people saying "Awww look at them. He is such a gentlemen." It was like all eyes were on us. When we made it outside Ben told me that he was going to “hit me up.” And we went our separate ways. The next morning Ben message me and ever since that day we have been together. B : We meet downtown Nashville crossing ways. I helped her put her shoes on multiple times. We exchange Snapchat’s. Before we parted ways I helped her walk down the stairs which was like a special moment for us. We went our separate ways never knowing that we will met again and that one day we would say "I met my spouse while crossing ways in Nashville."

M :Our first date Ben drove 4 whole hours to see me just to go right back home the next day. He let me decided where we would go so I chose to go to Embers. I wanted to go somewhere with a chill laid back vibe so that we could just talk and get to know each other more. I was super nervous because we were so different like night and day. He was a country boy and I was a city girl. He was such a gentlemen the whole night . I remember he got on to me for opening my own door. He told me that’s his job. After we ate, we talked the rest of the night until it was time for me to go home. He gave me one of his shirts with his cologne on it just to have something of his until he came back to see me. B: Our first day was really chilled. She picked for us to go to Embers. She was scared to eat in front of me. That night we just talked and enjoyed the vibes. It really sucked because I had to leave and go back home the next day but I knew I was going to be back.

M: Since the second day we started talking on the phone, Ben and I have never went without falling asleep with each other on the phone unless I was working night shift. B: We both like the same sports teams ... until Alabama plays Tennessee. Roll Tide!

M: The proposal was so beautiful! I know I had my man sweating as he was trying to stall until everything was ready. For the proposal Ben booked us a trip to Panama City beach. I wanted to go somewhere to celebrate since I recently graduated from nursing school. In the back of my mind, I knew that this trip Ben was going to propose to me. Ben always told me that he wants me to finish school so that I can stay focus but after I’m done he was going to put a ring on it! And he meant every word that he said ! The week of the trip was the one year anniversary of the first time we met. So with me putting everything together, I told myself "Oh my gosh, this is going to be it !" but I just didn’t know when or how he was going to do it. Ben waited until almost the end of the trip to propose. In my head I started to have doubt like well maybe this is not going to happen. He took me to my favorite restaurant Juicy Seafood. After eating Ben was trying so hard to kill time. He took me to a little shop to see if I wanted to buy anything but I literally walked in and 5 minutes later I told him I was ready to go. He asked me did I want some ice lol. I have my moments that I can go to town crunching on ice. I was like "Nah baby that’s going out the way." but he ended still going to get me some ice to eat. When it was time, we headed back to the condo he had booked. Ben told me "Just wait in the car a minute, I need to go get my other card and then we will head back out." I knew something was up because Ben is very organized and he always keeps his cards in his wallet. 15 minutes later he told me to just cut the car off and come inside. When I got to the door my heart started beating super fast. I called Ben to open the door because I didn’t know the code to get in. He told me the code and when I walked in….. our song When it Comes to You by Friday was playing. There were rose petals , balloons, and candles everywhere. He had a picture of us that he had gotten framed, and when I looked to my left in big letters was WILL YOU MARRY ME. I stood in the middle of the room and took it all in. I walked toward him and I just hugged him for a long time. He said "Well umm, are you going to answer the question?" I smiled and said "Yesssss bae!" Then he put the ring on my finger and man was that ring blinging! Shout out to our “Uncle” Josh for traveling four hours away home just to decorate the whole entire place for my special day. B: For the proposal, I decided to take her to Florida. I had my uncle to come up and decorate for me and set up everything that I needed. We went out to eat to Juicy Seafood. I had to step out to answer a call from my uncle. When I came back, she had that look in her eyes that she knew something was going on. After leaving from the restaurant I was trying to kill time, but man was she giving me a hard time. When it was finally time for everything to go down, I told her to stay in the car because I just needed to get my other card I left in the room. I had to make sure everything was straight before she came up so that’s the lie I came up with. When it was time, I told her to just come on and come up to the room. When she came to the room, she had to call me because she forgot the code to get in. When she walked in she walked to the middle of the room. I made sure our song was playing-When it comes to you. I guess she was amazed because she didn’t see the ring or even answer the question instead she came and gave me a long hug lol. I was like "Hold on now, are you going to answer the question?" she said "Yes!" of course.

M : I’m looking forward to getting all dolled up! I’m super excited to have all my family and friends together and to the share this special moment with them. I am also looking forward to seeing the beautiful venue and decor. B : I’m looking forward to see my beautiful wife. I am also looking forward for this day to just come because if you know my wife you know how she is when it comes down to her special days and special occasions.
