FAQs

Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

Heinz Chapel runs on a very tight time schedule so you need to be seated by 2:30pm to see the bride walk down the aisle! As a warning, traffic in the area can vary so please take a moment to check that afternoon and plan accordingly.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is parking reserved for the ceremony on the left side of S Bellefield between Forbes and Fifth Avenue. There should be a police officer directing traffic. There is also underground parking at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall. There is almost no accessible parking so if you are someone who struggles to walk long distances, please plan to drive with a friend who can drop you off near the entrance or let us know so we can make accommodations. There is ample parking at the Edgewood Country Club and cars can be left overnight and picked up Sunday morning if necessary.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your children, we have rarely met a child who enjoyed a wedding very much or an parent who didn’t enjoy a little date night away so we have planned for an adults only event. If that is an issue or concern, please reach out to us directly.

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

As soon as possible please and no later than February 26th.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Absolutely! If you have any food allergies or dietary restrictions please let us know so we can be sure to accommodate what you need.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

This is a work in progress at this time. If you would like reception transportation to or from the hotel block in the Waterfront please let us know as soon as possible!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

We suggest cocktail attire or your Sunday best :)

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Please see the accommodations section for details about reserved hotel blocks. For our out of town guests, the hotel blocks are in an area of Pittsburgh known as the Waterfont because it is approximately in the middle of the ceremony and reception. The Waterfront has a number of restaurants and shopping opportunities. If you would like to stay closer to our home or the ceremony or reception specifically, please let us know so we can direct you to the right part of town - Pittsburgh can be confusing if you’re not local.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We are registered at Amazon, Zola, and Macy’s

For all the days along the way
