The Edge is a short ten minute drive from downtown Camden (just over the border in Lincolnville). There will be a bus traveling from Camden to the venue prior to the ceremony and at the end of the night. The Edge: https://www.theedgemaine.com/
The FIRST AND ONLY time that shuttles will leave Camden is 2:45 pm for the 15 minute ride to Lincolnville. The shuttles will leave from Camden, at Atlantic Avenue, right between the Camden Library/Amphitheater and Camden Harbor Park. A dropped pin can be found at the link below. We'll also send an email out with this information before the big day! https://maps.app.goo.gl/yeD3NEaHZuvx1yGA9
There is limited parking available at the Edge. If you can, plan to take the bus from downtown Camden instead of driving yourself.
Great question. Lodging in Midcoast Maine during the high season (ahem, August) can be tricky. We've reserved a room block at the Lord Camden Inn and 16 Bayview (where we're staying!), but there are SO many other places around the Camden area to look into: In Downtown Camden (walking distance to shops, restaurants, and bus to wedding venue): - Camden River House Hotel and Inn - The Inn at Camden Place - Blue Harbor House - The Towne Motel Around Camden (within 15 minute drive) - Whitehall Inn - Glenmoor by the Sea - Inn at Sunrise Point You can also choose to stay on the venue property at the "Inn at Ocean's Edge", or at one of the area's many Airbnbs!
No! Booking 12 months ahead? Go you! 9 months ahead? Solid choice. 6 months ahead? Not ideal but, we'll allow it. 3 months ahead?...best of luck!
Summer cocktail. The venue has quite a bit of grass, so we would recommend a thicker heeled shoe (better for dancing, anyway!).
The million dollar question! Be ready for anything (heat, hurricanes, etc.). But in all seriousness, the temperature does drop at night (even in August), so you may want to bring an extra layer.
