We're tying the knot!

Mandy and Hank first met at Austin Bouldering Project (ABP), a local climbing gym, in 2019. Mandy invited her friend Tori, who happened to also be a friend of Hanks, to climb with her at the gym one rainy Saturday morning. Mandy gave her a tour of ABP, including an upstairs workspace away from the climbing area where Hank was studying because the weather didn’t allow him to climb outside that day. Tori invited him to join them at the brewery next door, and the rest... is almost history. Mandy and Hank didn’t see each other again until almost three months later, even though he tried several times to finagle a meetup. He eventually invited her out for what turned into a seven-hour first date—rock climbing at Reimers Ranch and dinner at a dive bar, where she ordered his food incorrectly and knocked an entire beer over on his cell phone. Typical. Since then, they have been through countless adventures together, including rock climbing in Mexico, Colorado, West Texas and New Mexico, quarantining in a studio apartment, braving Austin's Snowpocalypse, and a UT vs. LSU tailgate. Hank proposed to Mandy in Durango, Colorado, at their favorite climbing spot. They were hiking back to their car after being caught in a rainstorm. She thought they were stopping to take a quick photo, but Hank had set up her phone to record a video of the proposal. She said yeah. We can’t wait to start this new chapter together and celebrate with all of our favorite people!
