Mandy and Bradley met at Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) 2018, an electronic music festival, when Brad sold Mandy a ticket to the festival. They ran into each other at the festival when they had both gotten separated from their friends and ended up hanging out, singing and dancing for the rest of the weekend. At an after party downtown, Mandy asked Brad for his phone number and they met up for their first date the Monday following the festival at Stardust Coffee. Conversation came easy as they shared their love for the outdoors, travel, Harry Potter and music. Now they live less than a mile from Stardust Coffee, and look forward to dancing every year at EDC!
In 2017 Brad (trail name Shadez) hiked the entire 2,100 mile Appalachian Trail, and Mandy (trail name Meanders) has been doing small sections of the trail since 2020. In May of 2021, Brad took Mandy to hike his favorite 25 mile section, Roan Mountain, which is on the border of Tennessee and North Carolina. At the Peak of Round Bald, Brad got down on one knee and told Mandy he wanted to share all their adventures together for the rest of their lives. Mead Gardens is an especially significant and special venue choice for the couple. Mandy grew up running around Mead Gardens, and has also been helping lead a habitat restoration project at the Gardens for the past four years with the Florida Native Plant Society. Bradley and Mandy regularly volunteer and help with the habitat restoration since they started dating in 2018 and thought there would be no other place as special to hold their special day.
