Is there a dress code?

Semi-formal attire recommended (which could be a cocktail dress, a suit, a nice pantsuit, etc). Our priority though is that you feel your best and comfortable and ready to move and groove on the dance floor!

Are kids welcome?

We love your children, but due to space restrictions we cannot accommodate guests under age 18 at the reception. If you need any recommendations about local childcare, we can easily connect you with some great babysitters!

Can I bring a date?

In order to keep our guest list on track we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. Please reach out if you have any questions!

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
Answer
The ceremony begins at 1 PM. Please aim to be seated by 12:55. There is a parking lot and ample street parking available, but we recommend you allow time to find parking and get settled.

What time will your wedding reception end? Is there an after-party?
Answer
Boy howdy there sure is! The reception at Blue Ocean Event Center will end at 9 PM, but the party will continue just across the street at Joe's Playland, a beloved arcade that Michaela has been to all her life. Guests can enjoy the arcade from 9-10 PM, when the last shuttle will leave for after-party part 2! The shuttle will go to The Slip, a restaurant and bar attached to Guest House (formerly known as the Inn at Ring's Island), where guests are invited to wind-down in a informal atmosphere. The last shuttle will return to Essex Street Inn in Newburyport at 11:45 PM.
