Romance With A Side Of Relaxation & Adventure

We’re so excited to have you join us for our big day, and we couldn’t let you come all this way without sharing a few of our favorite local spots! Whether you’re arriving early or staying a little longer, we’ve put together a list of places to explore, sip, snack, and soak in the charm of the area. This corner of the world means a lot to us, and we hope you fall in love with it too!

Skyline Drive

Skyline Drive, Waynesboro, VA

For those who enjoy a "Sunday drive" and the great outdoors... we highly recommend you go for a spin on the Skyline Drive. It runs 105 miles north and south along the crest of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Shenandoah National Park and is the only public road through the Park. It takes about three hours to travel the entire length of the Park on a clear day. Our favorite and closest entrance to the venue is the Rockfish Gap Entrance Station (mile 104.6) by Rt. 64 and Rt. 250!

Monticello

1050 Monticello Loop, Charlottesville, VA 22902

Home of the author of the Declaration of Independence. A World Heritage Site, historic house and plantation, museum, research institute, presidential library, and private, non-profit organization. A must for history buffs!

Carter Mountain Orchard and Country Store

1435 Carters Mountain Trail, Charlottesville, VA 22902

Just minutes from downtown Charlottesville and Monticello, visitors overlook lush groves and breathtaking views of the valley below. From season to season, there’s always something fun (fruits, drinks, views, and shopping)!

Wineries & Vineyards in Charlottesville

If you want to enjoy history, food, drinks, and views seek out our personal favorites including Trump Winery and Jefferson Vineyards!

Historic Downtown Mall

108 5th St. NE, Charlottesville, VA 22902

With a vibrant collection of more than 120 shops and 30 restaurants housed in historic buildings along the city's Main Street, it's a trip worth making. Enjoy dining al fresco at a number of fine restaurants or shop at a number of unique boutiques. Watch a movie, play or live music at one of several performance venues. Convenient parking in nearby garages and parking lots, as well as a free trolley service connecting the Downtown Mall to the University of Virginia make a visit to the downtown area easy for visitors.
