We met in high school through mutual friends. After hanging out in groups a few times, we slowly grew closer. Since I didn’t have a car yet, Mason was kind enough to drive me each time, allowing us to get to know each other one-on-one. On January 13, 2018, we had our first date at a bowling alley. We bowled a few games, played arcade games, and took some photos in the photo booth. The photo booth would later become a tradition for us. Neither of us wanted the night to end, so we finished the night watching a movie at the theater where he worked through high school. We continued to spend time together over the next few weeks and made our relationship official on January 29, 2018. Here we are, eight years later, tying the knot in front of those who matter most to us.
After having dinner at the place we first met, we drove to the bowling alley that hosted our first date. We played a few rounds and got in the photo booth like we do every time we go bowling. Mason pulled a ring out during the pictures and I said “yes!” before he could even ask. It was a truly perfect proposal that took us on a walk down memory lane.
