On January 19th 2024, on a brisk winters day in the quaint beach town of San Clemente, two strangers met for the first time. Grant and Mandie took a risk and went on a date set-up by a mutual friend. Mandie met Grant outside his place to ride E-bikes and grab tacos for dinner. Grant had mentally planned the bike ride to be a detour from any conversation between the starting point and destination, he was just too nervous. However, Mandie kept riding side by side with Grant asking one question after the other. The tacos were secured, then Grant and Mandie went to the San Clemente Pier to park the bikes and eat at a picnic table with an ocean view. Grant and Mandie took a stroll on the pier, then the evening rolled around and deep down both of them were surprised neither of them wanted the date to end, but it began getting really cold. As soon as Grant and Mandie arrived back to his place, Grant offered Mandie to come inside for a little to have some tea. Conversations were natural, genuine, fun and their core values were aligned. The night went on, Mandie asks Grant, "well anything else you wanna do or?" Randomly Grant mentioned it'd be fun to take his extra Christmas tree down to the beach to burn it on the sand, it was a San Clemente thing. At first Mandie was apprehensive about burning the tree, but she still wanted to spend more time with Grant. While the warm glow from the fire flickered on their faces, Grant looked at Mandie with a nervous smile and told her that "you're super cute and I'd like to go on another date with you." Mandie smitten by Grant's charm, agreed to go on another date sometime. At last, the night had to come to an end, Mandie left and Grant said to himself, "I'd be a fool if I didn't do everything I could to pursue this girl." The rest was history...Grant and Mandie fell in love, spent an incredible year and a half as a couple with lots of sweet memories. Now by the grace of God, Grant and Mandie are getting married! A love story only God could write, the perfect timing only God could orchestrate.
