We first "met" at a Battle of the Bands in Millbrae in the very late 90's while we were still in High School. Ryan was playing guitar in one band and I was there to photograph all the bands. We didn't speak then but the way Ryan tells it there were fireworks and I had this awestruck look on my face. Fast forward to 2020. Ryan found me on social media he confessed he still had a crush after all these years (soo cute!). After a just few dates and there was an immediate connection and familiarity with each other. Falling in love happened quickly and deeply. Before I new it I was adopted into the family and we've been inseparable every since!

We set out to Maine late 2020 for Ryan's son Brody's birthday. We took in some sites there and I become obsessed with all the beautiful lighthouses. We saw a good number of lighthouses but it seems Ryan was saving the best for last saying he needed to show me one more lighthouse before we left. On the way to the airport we detoured to the lighthouse at Cape Elizabeth. Even though it was 17* out Ryan insisted we walk over and check it out. He told me to look up the lighthouse because it would make for a cool picture. While I had my back turned he got down on one knee. When I turned around, he proposed. I was in shock but shouted an enthusiastic Yes! There were some happy tears, a bunch of kisses and we flew home an engaged couple.
