Eugene is home to many wonderful breweries, each with their own selection of delectable craft beers. Ninkasi, Hop Valley, and Oakshire are just a few of our regular spots.
If you enjoy hiking, Spencer's Butte is for you. When you reach the top, you can see Eugene landmarks like Autzen Stadium and even see all the way to the Sisters. It's a wonderful way to spend an afternoon.
School will just be starting back up, but you might enjoy visiting our old stomping grounds and strolling through University of Oregon's beautiful campus. Take in the sights of the changing leaves, visit the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art or the Natural History Museum, and check out Matthew Knight Arena and the new construction on Hayward field.
Take a walk along the Willamette River path, hang out with some friendly ducks and geese, or even rent kayaks to see the river up close. There won't be a Ducks football game this weekend, but you can walk all the way down to check out Autzen Stadium.
Eugene's downtown scene is pretty unique. Without going all the way to Portland, you can get Voodoo donuts and eat them next to the statue of Ken Kesey in Kesey Square. The Vintage, Ambrosia and First National Taphouse are a couple of our favorite spots. And on Saturday morning, you can check out Eugene's Saturday Market.
If you are staying for a few days, the one-hour trip out to the coast is well worth it. You can enjoy delicious seafood and breath-taking scenery in Florence.
If you're staying in Oregon for awhile, you may enjoy a visit to Oregon's largest city. Portland has so much to offer including craft beer, tasty restaurants, live music, shopping and more. We love stopping at Powell's Books or walking along the water front. It is less than two hours from Eugene.
