The wedding ceremony will be a private event limited to a small number of family members and our wedding party. This will be followed by a larger reception of many more friends and extended family! Anybody invited to attend the private ceremony will have that explicitly stated on their mailed invitation. For all other guests, please aim to arrive during the cocktail hour (5pm) to come celebrate the post-ceremony festivities with us!
We respectfully ask that you please limit attendance only to those included on your RSVP on our website in order to maintain our final contracted guest count. Thank you for your understanding!
There will be an open bar! The bar will include wine, beer, spirits, as well as standard mixers and garnishes
Non-vegetarian guests will be served a Dual Entree meal of both beef and chicken. The beef is a Happy Valley Stout Braised Short Rib, topped with goat cheese & balsamic blueberry reduction. The chicken is baked and served with a caramelized shallot & porcini cream sauce. The proteins will be accompanied with mashed potatoes and parmesan crusted asparagus as the sides. The vegetarian option will be Zucchini Cakes with avocado lime puree and Thai chili sauce, served with quinoa, roasted carrots, and microgreens. Please indicate in the dietary accommodation section of your RSVP if you require a vegetarian meal. For folks with allergies or other restrictions, you may be served a modified version of the entrees described here, and/or a double portion of chicken or beef depending on the allergy. If you have any questions about how the caterer will be accommodating your allergies, please reach out to us
The dress code will be semi-formal to formal
To get to the venue, we encourage guests to carpool with friends, family, or other guests staying at the same hotel as them. The common rideshare apps (uber, lyft etc) should be available in the area as well. The venue has a parking lot across the street, which can fit approximately 100 cars. There is also a limited amount of street parking around the venue. Overnight parking in the lot is not permitted--an exception can be made if it is not safe for your to drive your vehicle after the wedding, but we ask that guests do not make leaving their car in the lot overnight their original plan. Both the parking lot and surrounding street parking are free.
Yes, we have a limited number of hotel blocks at a few hotels in the area. Please visit the "travel" tab of the website to view the options. You are also welcome to book accommodations outside of these choices! The booking cut-off date for the blocks is 8/13. After that date, the discount will no longer be available, and you will need to book any rooms using the standard methods.
The event is 100% indoors, and climate controlled.
Our caterer, JDK, is very experienced with handling food allergies (as we would hope with Mandi involved!). We have met with JDK and discussed accommodations for all of the dietary restrictions that were listed in our RSVPs. JDK is able to accommodate them all
Yes, there is a wheelchair entrance a the front of the venue, as well as an elevator to reach all areas of the venue accessible to guests. Please be careful as you walk around the venue, as it is an old building with uneven floors in some areas.
Absolutely! This is not a child-free wedding. When RSVPing, please include if you will require a child meal so that we can coordinate that with our caterer.
No, it's just a weird coincidence! Kim's friend Chase Kelly has no relation to Mandi's brother Chase Kelly, although the resemblance is striking
Unfortunately due to the rocky legal framework of same-sex marriage in the US, we felt it was wise to register our marriage in a state with more solidified laws in place to protect our marriage, should there be a shift in the federal legalization in the future. Because of that, we will be getting legally married in the state of New Jersey on Thursday, September 12th, on the day prior to our event in PA. We chose September 12th because both the Kelly and Hunt parents were married on September 12th! It seemed like too fun of a coincidence to pass up the opportunity to match, and to pay homage to many beautiful years of marriage both couples have had, beginning on that special date. Rather than make all of our Pennsylvania family and friends travel out to New Jersey on a Thursday, we felt the best compromise was to select a venue in PA and have a post-day celebration on Friday the 13th!
