Joe & Mandi met where most great relationships start. The bar! On April 20th, 2013 at Nob Hill Bar and Grill in Albuquerque, NM. Mandi just finished her undergraduate degree from UNM and was out for a girl’s night. Joe was working out of town in Logan, NM (the middle of nowhere) and made the trip to Albuquerque to celebrate a co-workers birthday. Joe and Mandi danced the night away and Joe decided to change his plans and stay another night. Mandi's graduation party was a few weekends later and decided to invite Joe and his friends to see where things would go. This is when Joe would meet Mandi's whole family! Shortly after the graduation party it would be Joe's time to go back to MN. On a whim, Joe asked if Mandi would make the one-way road trip and fly back to NM. The stars aligned because we found a cheap flight from MSP-ABQ, which is rare! After knowing eachother only a few weeks, we traveled across the US sharing our life stories. Mandi went to Costa Rica for a month for her yoga teacher training. And again, on a whim, she asked Joe if he wanted to meet her when she was done and go to backpacking in Nicaragua. Again, the stars must have aligned because Joe managed to get two weeks off of work (which is also rare!) At the beginning of July, Joe flew down to meet Mandi. We continued our journey into love on long bus rides, beaches, hiking volcanoes, hostels, hammocks, boat rides, and countless laughs. It was difficult to part ways after this trip, but Mandi had a plan to move to OR and Joe had to go back to MN. After a few months apart they decided it was time Mandi move to Illinois to be with Joe (where he was working at the time.) After a few months, we moved to MN into Joe's parent's basement (Mandi's first time meeting Joe’s mom!) In January 2014 they bought the house they still call home. In February 2014 Joe surprised Mandi with their puppy, Cash! 6 years after meeting we are ready to tie the knot! We cannot wait to share our love with all of you.
