What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

We would love to see our family and friends dress up for our big day. We are requesting semi-formal attire for the wedding day events. For the ladies, something shorter or midi-length is perfect. For the men, we recommend at least dress pants and a long-sleeve collared shirt, but a suit and tie or sport coat would look very dapper.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Due to limited space we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one, they will appear under your name when you RSVP. Thank you for your understanding!

Are kids welcome?

Answer

We love our little ones! We have decided to keep our wedding and reception an adult only event. We hope you enjoy an elevated date night out to relax, get dressed up, celebrate, and dance the night away with us! Children are warmly invited to join us at the Welcome Drinks event on Friday night.

Have you reserved a hotel room block for guests?

Answer

Yes! Please visit the "Travel" tab on our website for more information. Reserve your room by May 12, 2026 to ensure you are part of the room block $139 per night rate.

Where are the ceremony and reception taking place?

Answer

The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all be held on-site at the Black Barn Orlando located at 2017 Gregory Road, Orlando, FL 32825.

Is the wedding outside?

Answer

The wedding ceremony and reception are both indoors, but the cocktail hour will be outdoors under a covered patio with fans. There is also a covered walkway connecting the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception spaces. You will not need to worry about getting rained on during the wedding day festivities.

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that you arrive no later than 20-30 minutes before the ceremony. The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 4:30 PM.

Will there be transportation? Parking at venue?

Answer

Transportation will not be provided for the wedding day festivities. If you are traveling from the Aloft Lake Nona hotel, the Black Barn Orlando is located roughly 20 minutes away. We recommend taking an Uber or carpooling to the venue, but it is not difficult for drivers to locate. Plug it in Google or Apple Maps, and it will take you right to the entrance. There is a large parking lot on property, and the parking is free. Please note there is no overnight parking at the wedding venue.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly ask that you put your phones and cameras away during the entire ceremony as we want you all to be present with us in the moment. We have a professional photographer capturing the ceremony for us.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Yes! There will be an open bar for the Welcome Drinks the night before the wedding, and there will be an open bar during the Wedding Reception. We want you to have the best time, so the drinks are on us, but the hangover is on you!

Is food provided?

Answer

We will be serving hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour and a buffet style dinner for the wedding. Food will not be provided during the welcome drinks on Friday night, but food will be available for purchase at the hotel restaurant. We recommend dining beforehand at one of Lake Nona's many fantastic restaurants.

If I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, please reach out to Tyler or Michelle ASAP if you have a food allergy so we can coordinate with the caterer.
