We met at a dem and photos were being taken of me to be sent to John. He texts me the next day and we chatted for a bit. Fast forward to many dates blown off and finally one summer night John got his date. We texted back and forth for a solid year but finally went on a date together. After that, we literally spent every second possible together. Our ongoing joke is it only took John 3 years to finally get a date... but he never gave up!

It was supposed to happen in Mexico, but plans changed due to a worldwide pandemic canceling our trip. Fast forward to our vacation in Rhode Island with our best friends. John had no clue when he was going to do it but couldn't wait to get it done so he can relax the rest of the trip. The day came and we spent all day at the beach, came back took a nap and got ready for dinner -nothing out of the ordinary- (thankfully I packed a cute dress- almost changed last second). John would NOT speak in the car the whole way to dinner or sit in the back with me (weird). As we walked around by the beach before dinner John would NOT hold my hand or again say much at all (weird again, shoulda known). I thought he wasn't feeling well as that morning he wasn't himself either. Then we went to take a photo on a ton of rocks and then down to one knee he went with Jamie and Brian there to capture it all (and the cute old couple on the bench clapping and yelling in excitement). I couldn't tell you what John even said besides will you marry me? 07.20.20 best day of our lives <3
