With the blessing of our elders, Joins us dressed in south indian handlooms!
On this auspicious morning, our pundits from Bangalore will perform pooja to our family deity and perform Nandi stapana to invoke the blessings of our elders. This will be followed by Hayar distribution & lunch. Join us dressed in our traditional attire.
7:00 am - 12:30 pm
With joy we ring the wedding bells! Come dressed in your favourite traditional attire for the wedding.
This sacred occasion will mainly be done as per our Madhwa padhati. We plan to lace it with a couple of Gujarati rituals. Rituals include - Gowri Pooja, Kasi Yatra ( Varun is super excited about this ritual), Antharpat, Kanyadana, Kankana, Mangalyadharana, Laja Homa and Saptapathi. Grihapravesh will be at Varun’s house after lunch. After lunch, plan to get some rest before you start dressing up for the Reception.
6:30 pm - 10:00 pm
It is time for Glitz & Flair! Dress in your best Formal or Indo-Western outfit.
Be prepared for some dancing before the end of the day….Gujarati’s love dancing. Please note, the couple will accept cash or gifts. Don’t be surprised to see two wooden boxes placed at the entrance for cash contributions. It is a Singaporean tradition.
