Although our story started cliche meeting on Hinge, the many cute coincidence's through our chapters of getting to know each other showed us that this was a magical swipe right. On our first date, he rolled up in a purple t shirt and jeans and two thoughts went through my mind “ Oh purple is my favorite color! “ and “ Damn he’s buff”. I suddenly started to notice how empty the restaurant was and wondered why the restaurant was so empty so early on a weekend evening. Until I checked my watch and it was already close to 10 pm! It had been almost 4 hours! We were so caught up in how both of our pets were grey colored with blue eyes that turned to yellow, or how we both were born on the 27th just two months apart, and how one of his best friends from graduate school just so happened to be my high school classmate! We completely lost track of time. Our first date was just a glimpse into what was to come. When he first saw me walking towards him he took a sigh of relief thinking to himself "Phew thank goodness she looks just as beautiful as her photos". Through out the date he was surprised how much we had in common coming from different backgrounds. He knew I was the one when I asked to get another drink! Since that first date, we have travelled the world together (snorkeling in Hawaii, kangaroos in Australia, and monkey forests in Bali), experienced new cuisines (vegetarian, sushi, fine dining), and enjoyed each other’s company at home (dating shows). Our shared taste for adventure as well as creature comforts, such as cuddling with our cat (Spike) and dog (Mickey), are part of what helps us sync our lives together and find balance. It is hard to find another person who can appreciate the same moments, jokes, and emotions, but we have found that in each other. We are excited to celebrate our wedding and hope to share that moment with all of you there!
