Our Story

This story did not begin with a first date, or even a first conversation. It began with prayer. Years before Coleton and Malorie were brought together, God was already at work. Coleton shared with those closest to him that he believed Malorie would be his wife, and during that season, many of his friends and family prayed faithfully - trusting God’s ways and timing. In January of 2025, before Malorie knew any of this and before she knew Coleton had his heart set on her, God spoke clearly to her heart: Coleton would be her husband. She held that word quietly, choosing trust and patience. In early April of 2025, God brought their paths together. Though their love story began in April, their lives had been quietly intersecting for many years. Coleton and Malorie attended the same high school, their families connected in ways they wouldn’t fully realize until later, and friendships between siblings and parents had been woven long before their first date. Looking back, it’s clear God was aligning their paths long before the moment He brought them together. On April 18, they went on their first date: two chairs, sushi, and wine on the beach. They talked and laughed until midnight, both knowing with unmistakable peace that this was their last first date. Their last first kiss. The beginning of a love story already written. What followed was a relationship marked by faith, intention, and joy. They quickly discovered how deeply they enjoy life together - full of laughter, easy companionship, and a love that feels both exciting and peaceful. On New Year’s Eve, in the quiet hours before loved ones arrived to celebrate, Coleton proposed at home, just the two of them - a moment filled with joy and the certainty of an answered prayer. One year and one week after their first date, Coleton and Malorie will step into marriage - into a covenant God spoke long before either of them fully understood it. They believe their love is a reflection of God’s faithfulness and perfect timing. A story written with trust, joy, and deep desire. Not by chance, but by prayer. “When the time is right, I, the Lord, will make it happen.” Isaiah 60:22
