Question

Where is the Ceremony & Reception?

Answer

Please arrive no later than 3:15pm The ceremony will be at Turtle Pointe with a prompt start time so please arrive 3:00-3:15 PM on September 10th 2025. Following the ceremony we will take a group photo, then you'll make your way to Plantation Estates for Cocktail Hour (4:00-5:00pm) and our reception. The reception will take place from 5:00-9:45pm Complimentary Parking – On the wedding day, the MC will be handing out parking tickets at the end of the night so you’ll get complimentary parking slip after the last song. (normally $38) Room Location Tip – Our ceremony is at Turtle Pointe, which is closest to the North Tower. If you’d like to be closer or are in the wedding party, give the Fairmont a call or email and request to be placed in the North Tower: +1 (808) 885-2000.

Is it okay to bring gift to the wedding?

Answer

Due to the nature of a destination wedding please don't bring large gifts, cards are very appreciated. There's more options on our registry page.

Can I smoke or vape at the ceremony or reception?

Answer

The Fairmont Orchid is a non-smoking property, with smoking prohibited in all guest rooms, including balconies. For the comfort of all guests and out of respect for our venue, both our ceremony and rehearsal are smoke-free and vape-free.

Can I take photos/video during the ceremony?

Answer

We kindly request that our ceremony remain "unplugged." We would love for you to be fully present with us during this special moment, so we ask that all phones and cameras be put away until after the ceremony. Don’t worry—our professional photographer/videographer will capture everything, and we’ll be happy to share those photos with you later!

Elevated Cocktail -Guest Color Suggestions- Dark Champagne, Taupe, Dark Gray, Black Blush, Dusty Rose, Mauve, Soft Peach, Powder Blue, Misty Lavender Eucalyptus Green, Terracotta, Clay, Browns, Muted Olive, Navy -Avoid- White/cream The groom and groomsman will be in tan suits. Anything close to the dark teal or light sage of the bridal party Shorts, neon, loud prints, and tropical/Hawaiian shirts (message Maloree if you're second guessing it)

Think of Elevated Cocktail as a polished, stylish version of cocktail attire — fitting for a sunset celebration at a five-star resort. What this means: Dresses can be midi or long, in soft fabrics like silk, satin, or chiffon Men can wear lightweight suits or tailored slacks with a dress shirt (ties optional, jackets encouraged) Think elevated silhouettes, refined details, and breathable fabrics Footwear should be dressy but suitable for grass (block heels, flats, or dressy sandals are perfect)

No, our planner encourages guests to get a rental car. Uber and Lyft are a little scarce on this side of the island.
