Newport on the Levee
Within 2 miles of both hotels, Newport on the levee is home to a collection of unique-to-Newport retailers and restaurants, a food hall, an AMC Theater, the Newport Aquarium, and over 200,000 square feet of community gathering space. This area is right on the Ohio River and has great views of Cincinnati's Skyline.
Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden
Famous for the Hippo, Fiona, the Cincinnati Zoo is considered one of the oldest continuously operated zoos in the country. Tyler & Erin have spent hot summer days bringing friends & family to the zoo and cold winter nights enjoying the Zoo Lights during the holidays.
Cincinnati Reds Baseball Game
Tyler and Erin have enjoyed going to multiple Reds games over the years. A summer date night tradition. Whether it's for all you can eat seats, or the after game concert series, many of their favorite dates were spent at the Great American Ballpark. Catch a home game on May 23rd or May 24th and watch the Reds play the Cubs.
The Oak Tavern
Tyler & Erin went on their first date at The Oak Tavern. The Oak is known for their smoked wings, but also be sure to try their fried mac & cheese bites!
Fretboard Brewing - Factory 52
Fretboard Brewing Co holds a special space in Erin & Tyler's hearts. This brewery is one of their favorites! While they mostly go to the Blue Ash location, the Factory 52 location is closer (8 miles). Erin recommends trying The Reba if they have it on draft. If you have some extra time, explore Factory 52.
OLLA Taqueria
One of Erin & Tyler's favorite restaurants in the Covington area. If you like Mexican food, you are going to LOVE Olla.
Devou Park
If you are looking for a great view of the city, check out Devou Park. Erin & Tyler enjoy taking Maize here for long walks. The overlook is a great location for a picnic and there are multiple walking paths all throughout the park. You can even check out the Devou Park Golf Course if you want to play a round of golf while you are in town.
Smale Riverfront Park
Tyler & Erin took some of their engagement photos at Smale Riverfront Park. Walk across either the Purple People Bridge or the famous Roebling Bridge to explore the park. The park contains multiple water play features, giant swings, an interactive foot piano, an imaginative play area for kids, expansive pollinator gardens, and Carol Ann’s Carousel.
