Sarah and Brian's love story started where only the deepest love blossoms: the ever romantic offices of AIG 🏢 Despite working at the same company for two years, their paths never crossed - or so they thought. In July 2013 while golfing, mutual friend-turned-groomsman, Alex, connected the dots (thanks Al!) and Brian wondered if Sarah happened to be the cute girl from the 8th floor he'd noticed in the elevator from time to time 🤔 A few days (Sarah claims it was weeks) and several awkward shared elevator rides later, Brian mustered up enough courage to send Sarah an email and ask her to lunch, acknowledging his blatant HR violation. As he rode the escalator down to the lobby, waiting for him (unsurprisingly) and fumbling on her phone to avoid eye contact was the cute girl from the 8th floor. Both nervous and neither knowing the appropriate way to greet each other on this weird midday work date, they shook hands 🥴and the rest is history ❤️ Lengthy lunch dates turned into a real date and 6 years later, on her birthday, Brian surprised Sarah after dinner by getting on a knee in Washington Square Park 💍
Wedding is happening! Like just about everything in 2020, this isn't exactly how we drew things up. Nevertheless, we're actively following COVID-19 guidance from experts and are working closely with our vendors on precautions we can take to host all of you safely. Vermont remains one of the least affected states and our wedding will be held entirely outdoors at a private residence where it's easier to control person-to-person interactions and far more difficult for the virus to spread. While the schedule of events you'll find in your invitations and on this site reflects our plans for the big weekend, they are subject to change so please refer back or give us a shout if you have questions or concerns. Your health and safety are our top priorities. Our hope is that our wedding can offer everyone a chance to safely reconnect and have fun. More than anything, we want to celebrate with all of you! That said, we'd never ask to you take a risk you're not comfortable with. We realize, sadly, not everyone will be able to join us. To those who just can't be there in person: we understand and will miss you on the dancefloor. To those who can make it: can't wait to see you in Woodstock! Love, Sarah & Brian
