Our story is not an entirely unusual one in this day and age, but there was a lot of luck involved. I (Mallory) was in medical school in Auburn, AL and definitely didn't have time to date. I didn't think I had time to hit the bars or popular college spots downtown looking for "Mr. Right". I'd tried other dating sites without much luck. I found Bumble and really liked the fact that the ladies got to initiate the chat. For those who don't know, guys usually get to "swipe right" or "match" and initiate the messages. This sometimes led to less than attractive first impressions. Bumble is location based, which is where the luck comes in, because Will was living in Anniston, AL at the time. A little farther away than I had set my location radius. Will just happened to be scrolling through Bumble while visiting his best friend (and best man) Joel. He stumbled upon the profile of "this cute blonde and her cute blonde dog in an AU jersey" and his first thoughts were "I want to see that cute lab in a Bama jersey", so he swiped right. In case anyone wonders why I swiped right it was also because of an adorable dog in his profile (this shouldn't surprise anyone who knows us). The rest is history though our first date still feels like it was yesterday. P.S He still hasn't gotten "the cute blonde dog" in an Alabama jersey because #wareagle
