The Slugger Museum, home of the world's largest bat, is located only 0.5 miles from the hotel. Book a tour online to dive into the history of the famous Louisville slugger and maybe even create your own bat!
Big Four Walking Bridge
If you're looking to get outside and get your steps in, the Big Four Walking Bridge is located downtown. For out-of-towners, you can say you walked to Indiana!
Kentucky Bourbon Trail
The Kentucky Bourbon Trail will guide you through the rich history of the greatest bourbon distilleries in the world. If you want to stay in town, here are a few downtown distilleries that are close to the hotel: Angel's Envy, Old Forester, Michter's, Bardstown Bourbon Company Tasting Room If you want to rent a car and see the beautiful rolling hills of KY: Bardstown, KY: Bardstown Bourbon Company (personal favorite) & Heaven Hill Versailles, KY: Woodford Reserve (personal favorite) & Bulleit (which you can hit on the way) Note - All distilleries require a registered tour, please double-check the website of the distillery you are interested in and book tickets in advance!
Bardstown Bourbon Company
One of our personal favorites, Bardstown Bourbon, has a tasting room located downtown. Although there's no tours here, they do offer tastings.
Angel's Envy Distillery
You can't come to Louisville without trying some bourbon! Angel's Envy is conveniently located less than a mile from the hotel. Book a tasting or tour online to see what goes on behind the scenes.
Old Forester Distilling Co.
Located only 2 blocks from the hotel, enjoy one of our favorite bourbons or book a tour online to get a closer look into the distilling process.
West Sixth Brewing NuLu
Enjoy tasty craft beers at the beer garden of this local brewery. Only a 6 minute Uber from the hotel.
8UP Elevated Drinkery & Kitchen
This modern rooftop bar is a great spot to grab a delicious cocktail and enjoy a bite to eat. It's located on the top of the Hilton Garden Inn Hotel. Follow directions to their designated elevator.

Louisville staple! Best coffee in town and only a few blocks from the hotel
Butchertown Grocery Bakery
Great spot to grab a cold brew & breakfast sandwich. They're known for their delicious pastries and the infamous "cruffin" aka croissant/muffin. Located just over a mile away from the Galt House.
La Bodeguita De Mima Cuban Restaurant and Rum Bar
One of the Killion's favorite spots. For a restaurant to get Kent's stamp of approval, you know it has to be good! This cuban restaurant won't disappoint and is located 1.1 miles from the hotel.
