We highly recommend checking out First Friday Art Walk the evening before. It's one of our favorite things to do; it's also where we had our second date! First Friday Art Walk starts at 5:30pm - we recommend going earlier rather than later. Street parking can be tricky so we suggest taking an Uber/Lyft.
To see even more art (or just get out of the summer heat), the Denver Art Museum has collections of more than 70,000 diverse works from across the centuries and world, it is one of the largest art museums between the West Coast and Chicago.
The Denver Botanic Gardens is a public botanical garden located in the Cheesman Park neighborhood not too far from downtown. The 23-acre park contains a conservatory, a variety of theme gardens and a sunken amphitheater, which hosts various concerts in the summer.
After visiting the Botanic Gardens, check out Cheesman Park! There are also casual pizzerias, relaxed coffeehouses and hip craft-cocktail bars dotting the streets around the park.
16th Street Mall is a pedestrian and transit mall in downtown Denver near the Hyatt (less than a half mile walk). The mall is 1.25 miles long with plenty of shopping and dining options.
Right around the corner of 16th Street Mall is Larimer Square; home of the famous twinkle lights and Colorado flags (for the gram). High end restaurants, shops, and bars. There is often live music playing on the weekends as well!
Famous concert venue that is open to the public during the day for exploring surrounding hiking trails and the venue itself.
Great for hiking and panoramic views. Check out New Terrain Brewing Company or downtown Golden afterwards! New Terrain Brewing: 16401 Table Mountain Pkwy, Golden, CO 80403 More information on downtown Golden: https://www.visitgolden.com/
