Jordan and I met as children in kindergarten. While we did not really play together as children, we knew of each other in our small elementary school. Once fourth grade was upon us, I moved to a new, bigger school, and he stayed at Edinburg for years. Timeskip to tenth grade and the first day of class. As I walked down the crowded hall, I see this tall familar guy walking past me; it was Jordan! I didn’t get a chance to speak to him until after school. Surprisingly, we spoke as if we were old friends. Soon after, we became the best of friends. We had the same sense of humor and had so much fun together! We were best friends all the way through to graduation where it all went wrong. Jordan and I went to Panama City, FL for a senior trip with a group of our friends. This trip caused us to drift apart because of the relationship I started with a guy during the trip. Apparently, Jordan was in love with me. With the innocence and oblivious nature that I had, I never realized his true feelings. Once we both started our first year of college, we did not speak to each other. Once my relationship ended a few months into freshman year of college, we mended our friendship. Then he told me of his feelings. I decided to give us a chance but soon realized that I wasn’t ready for a relationship, especially with my best friend. After I ended things with Jordan, we went back to not talking. This lasted for two years. In July of 2017, I soon realized the inportance of maturity and growth over time. This was the time that Jordan and I reconnected. And this time... Something was different. There was a true spark that I had never experienced before with him or anyone for that matter. It took me three days to fall in love with the man that was right in front of me for years. Who never stopped loving me. Who has taught me true dedication. Who has helped me feel worthy of true love, no matter my faults. I am so blessed and excited to marry the man of my dreams, Jordan Matthew Davis.
