I first met Mallory on September 25th, 2024 when we were set up by mutual friends for a date party for her sorority. I didn’t know this until much later, but two completely unrelated friends of hers both recommended that she should take a guy that they knew, and both of those guys just so happened to be me. (Thank you Becca and Meredith!) Mallory was a complete mystery to me, but both the pictures I saw and everything her friends told me about her were plenty to get me excited to go with her. I realized that I had an exam the same night of the date party, and quickly Q-dropped the class (using the candidacy process I was in for a men’s organization as an excuse to both my parents and Mallory instead of saying I wanted to go to the date party with her). The date party was a blast. I think we talked for 5 hours straight, before, through and after. I have never connected with anyone as quickly as I did with Mallory. I asked her on a date at the end of the night, and got to work on creating as much free time as I could to spend with her. I searched far and wide before our first date to find out if there were any red flags that should stop me from pursuing her, but only received feedback that made me more sure it was the right call. The first date started with us talking about our faith and families, and the rest is history. I have known for a long time that Mallory is who I would spend the rest of my life with; there is no one I would rather have supporting me and raising my family together with. She is faithful, kind, servant-hearted and shows grace to me every day. We got engaged on August 5th in Charleston, SC which was incredible. I can’t wait for the rest of my life with her. “...
