(Hannah Author) I met Mallory through a mutual friend, Natalie Peters, and was absolutely overwhelmed by her - but in a good way. You know Mallory (or if you don't I am so excited for you to get to know her) she LIVES larger than anyone I had met... and she has so much energy and enthusiasm for life. I didn't know how I was going to keep up. We became good friends as we helped Natalie plan her own wedding to which we were bridesmaids together. If there is one thing I can say about our friendship (that still rings true today), we always had a blast together. She made me laugh and smile and look at life differently and grow every single time we had the chance to spend time together... Our friendship deepened when in January 2017 she told me more of her heart and we decided to take a chance on forever. It was the best decision of my life. We dated for over a year when on March 3rd I asked her for forever and proposed. On April 4th she surprised me and did the same.... We chose May 5th, 2019 for our wedding in one of our favorite places in Colorado, Buena Vista. Our journey has been incredible, it's hard to imagine that more amazing is yet to come. Since our engagement we left Colorado and began our Travel PT Careers to see more of the country and really determine where we want to land... We were in Iowa from May-Sept and now are in Seattle, WA until just before Christmas... Mallory will be taking a contract in Iowa for the first of the year and I will be in Seattle until mid Feb.... Then onto our next adventure, we have no idea where. Our love story is my favorite, of course... but I truly do feel like the luckiest person. I am so grateful that Mallory chose me and I have the privilege and blessing to choose her in return. Please come celebrate with us and cheer us on throughout not only our wedding but our marriage!!!
I first met Hannah on May 31st, 2015 while bridesmaid dress shopping for our friend, Natalie Peters. Natalie and I (and the rest of the bridal party) arrived at the shop only to discover than Hannah had driven overnight from Chicago for the event. Who does that?!?!?! I immediately fell for Hannah's wonderful smile (you all know what I'm talking about) and laugh, but she seemed way too proper and polite to put up with my shenanigans. Flash forward to Natalie's bachelorette weekend when initial plans did not go as planned, and Hannah used a word I cannot type for this story. That was when I decided I wanted to marry Hannah. For real, it happened that fast and that unromantic. Anyone who has asked about my future has been told that I would settle down when I found someone who could keep up. Since January 19, 2017 when I was met with an "I'm in!" after spilling my feelings, Hannah has not only kept up, but has provided plenty of moments when it was myself that needed to keep up. I'm continually in awe of her selflessness; her passion for going to the ends of the Earth for her friends and family, or a man on the street Denver who asked for a drink and got a meal; and her ability to see the big picture long before I get into focus. Plus, she's a WONDERFUL cook. On April 4, 2018, I had the wonderful privilege of getting on one knee in fishing waders in a river to ask Hannah to spend the rest of her life with me. Since then, life has been on the fast track with jobs, and moving, and planning. Our journey has had many twists and turns, but I think we can all agree that the straight path (you see what I did there?) is typically a boring one. It is exciting to dream about our future together, and getting to add May 5, 2019 into that dream is quickly becoming a reality! We are so excited to have our tribes as part of that story and cannot wait to spend the day with you all!!
