Breny is not only my future cousin-in-law, but one of my dearest friends-- I can't wait to officially call her family! She has been my biggest cheerleader, constantly stepping up with unwavering support. Always up for a dinner, a cozy sleepover, an adventure or a fun game night, she knows how to make every moment special. Her energy lights up any room she enters, and her laughter is contagious. I still can’t believe she once convinced me to free climb a cliff, so I’m incredibly grateful to still be here today to tell the story! So ready to celebrate our wedding together! P.S. If you catch her at the wedding, be sure to ask her about the time she helped me carry a soaking wet, scalding hot comforter down two flights of stairs close to midnight—all to keep me out of trouble with my landlord! She did it with a smile, and, thankfully, I stayed in the clear… despite the trail of water we left behind! A true friend!

Jon and I first crossed paths during our freshman year in an English course. We sat in the same class but never spoke until he approached me one day in the dining hall, sparking a friendship that would last for years. We became roommates in my third year of college, where our musical bond flourished—he's a talented drummer, and I play guitar, so we often had epic rock sessions together. Jon's caring and empathetic nature is something I truly admire, and I’m grateful to have him standing by my side on this special day. Fun fact: Jon is an avid break dancer, so we are hoping to see him 'bust a move' at our wedding!

Corine, my incredible matron of honor, is not just my best friend; she’s been a constant source of strength and encouragement for years. From the moment I moved in with her, sharing not just a bedroom but countless memories, she has shown me unwavering support through life's highs and lows. With a heart as big as her spirit, Corine embodies kindness and generosity, always putting others first. To know her is to love her, and I am so grateful to have her by my side on this special day! Fun fact: once upon a time, Corine and Mallory were so inseparable that they even lived together, matched hair colors, and wore the same clothes. Life has changed quite a bit since those days, and one change we can all appreciate is that neither of them has violet hair anymore!

As my longest-standing childhood friend, he’s been by my side through it all. His calm, laid-back nature is a big part of why we get along so well, and he’s always been someone I can count on. A genuinely great person, he looks out for me and everyone around him, making him not just a friend but a brother. I couldn’t imagine this day without him.

I met Michaela while working in Iowa for six months, where I moved not knowing a single soul. She was warm, kind, and quickly became a genuine friend I could count on. After hanging out a few times, I started to realize I would truly miss her when I left Iowa—I’d found a friend I didn’t want to say goodbye to. Thankfully, FaceTime keeps us connected, allowing us to spend hours on the phone together—sometimes deep in conversation, and other times simply sharing the experience of doing daily tasks side by side. I’m so grateful for her friendship and can’t wait to have her by my side on this special day.

Geoff and I met at the start of medical school and quickly became close friends. We spent hours together working on research in the lab, which only strengthened our friendship. Geoff is introspective and patient, someone whose company I genuinely enjoy. Whether it’s a game of soccer or trying out a new restaurant, he’s always up for anything. I’m grateful to have him by my side on this day.

McKenzie Farah

Kenzie has been one of my best ‘buddies’ since elementary school. From high school to college, through the distance of many states that separate us, she’s always been a sweet and constant, kindhearted friend. She truly inspires me with her bubbly personality and unwavering positivity. No matter the situation, she has a remarkable ability to see the good, brightening the lives of those around her. I admire her outlook on life and strive to embody that same sense of optimism in my own journey.. I’m so grateful to have her by my side on this special day. Some of my fondest childhood memories were made in McKenzie's home, where we’d stay up late making popcorn and smothering it in sugar, or eating brownie batter with a spoon. One standout memory is our trip to New York City in high school, where we walked what felt like ten miles to get ‘double fried French fries.’ We even had our makeup done, which turned out to be a rather... interesting experience!

Julia is more than just a friend—she’s the sister I never had. From the moment we met, she’s been by my side, through every high and low, bringing support and understanding. Her family has become my own, and soon, I’ll be standing by her side on her wedding day too. Sharing the experience of planning our weddings together has been such a joy, and I’m so grateful for every moment. She’s one of the most important people in my life, I couldn’t imagine this journey without her by my side. Fun memory: I’m sure all you Bills fans remember that game a few years back, when they had to shovel out the stadium. Despite my hatred for snow and the cold, Julia somehow convinced me to go. We sat just three rows from the field—but didn’t catch a single play because we couldn’t see a foot in front of us! It was easily one of the coldest days of my life, but also one of my favorite memories with her!

We first crossed paths at my first job out of college, working in a virology lab where we'd frequently take breaks for 7/11 runs—some of my favorite memories from that time. Even after I moved on from that job, we stayed in touch and visit with each other whenever I'm in town. He’s funny and outgoing, and we bonded over our shared love of playing guitar. I’m grateful to have him by my side on this special day.

Maggie has been my 'buddy' since elementary school, a true guiding light and one of the sweetest friends I could ask for. Everybody needs a Maggie in their lives. Despite her busy life with two kids, she always makes time to see me when I visit home. Her genuine heart and incredible sense of humor are just a couple of the things I love most about her. He brings a calm presence which is felt by everyone around him, along with a great sense of humor—which must be genetic, because Mallory is hilarious (I swear, she didn’t force me to write this). Amanda and I became friends while working together at the Children’s Hospital in Pittsburgh and from that point forward, she’s been one of my most adventurous and loyal friends ever since. She’s always up for anything and has traveled to every city I’ve moved to for work over the past couple years—even driving 12 hours to visit me in Iowa while she was sick with COVID. We’ve shared so many great adventures, like our time in Virginia Beach, where we explored, Amanda made sand sculptures (ask her about her full set of sand tools) and crocheted on our hotel balcony like the old Italian ladies that we are. Amanda’s friendship is a true gift, she is one of a kind and I’m so grateful to have her by my side on this special day.

Our friendship began in the most unexpected way—a spontaneous trip to Paris, orchestrated by his now-wife, Sherly, when Sam's dad had something come up and had to bow out from the trip. Sherly, knowing my passion for travel, reached out to me and I found myself meeting Sam for the first time at the airport, both of us bound for adventure in Europe. We spent a week exploring together, and an unplanned friendship blossomed. From that moment on, Sam has been a cherished friend. I admire his calm and kind demeanor, and Mallory and I always look forward to the fun times we share with him and Sherly.
