How did we meet?

Answer

We met in Intro to Philosophy fall 2016 at Earlham during Mallory's freshman and Dante's sophomore year. The next school year, each of us spent a semester abroad: Dante in Ecuador in the fall, and Mallory in New Zealand in the spring. We officially started dating Fall 2018.

We got engaged September 2025 while celebrating our 7 year anniversary at a KTV bar in the Philippines. Dante queued our song ("Unforgettable" by French Montana), read me a poem, and asked me to marry him. My response: "Really?!?!... Yeah, of course!"

What have we been up to?

Answer

Since August 2025, we've been traveling throughout South East Asia. We spent 5 months with Dante's family in the Philippines where we had lots of lechon, learned a lot about each other, and went to war with the mosquitos. Next, we spent 2 weeks and New Years in Indonesia enjoying lots of spicy food and trying to survive Jakarta traffic. We're currently in Thailand with plans to travel to Laos, Vietnam, and China before we fly back to the States in April. Post wedding?

Answer

After the wedding we'll be spending a few weeks with our families and then heading to Europe to continue our travels. Besides starting in Portugal, plans are very up in the air, but we're excited for the great things to come!
