While we reccomend flying into Florence, Rome is a larger, and sometimes, cheaper airport to fly into (depending where you fly from). The airport is a 2 hr drive to Sinalunga.

Car Rentals at Airports

1 hr 20 min drive to Sinalunga from Florence airport. 2 hour drive from Rome. To rent an automatic vehicle, we recommend booking sooner rather than later, as those are in higher demand than manual at airports. Here are a few rental company recommendations: SIXT, Avis, Hertz, Noleggiare. Booking.com is a great place to compare prices at either airports/cities. There is a shuttlebus at the airport to take you to respective rental counter.

3 hour train rides from Florence (Florence Santa Maria Novella (SMN) to Sinalunga. 3.5 - 5 hour train rides from Rome (Rome Termini) to Sinalunga. We have linked a great resource for booking trains/buses.
