Mallory and Coleton's story started in Emerson Hall at Miami University. A group of freshmen boys wandered the dorm hallways in search of new friends and good times. They knocked on countless dorm rooms and were close to losing hope. Luckily for them, they knocked on room 146 (home to an awesome group of girls) and spent the rest of the night watching movies and going to Pulley Diner for mozzarella sticks- the rest is history. The remainder of freshman year was a whirlwind of college fun for this group of friends. From late nights at Brick, mac and cheese bites at Skippers, Halloween parties, and Thursday night pitchers, they became inseparable. After freshman year came to a close, Coleton and Mallory continued to stay in touch nonstop throughout the summer. While Mallory denied the relationship (even though her friends and family knew differently), Coleton was confident that they would eventually end up together. His persistence continued once they returned to Miami in the fall and Coleton used Mallory's weakness for Chinese food to convince her to go on their first date at Hueston Woods Park. The rest of their college time as a couple was filled with friends, fun, and lots of memories made together. Once they graduated, Coleton moved to Bowling Green, Kentucky to start medical school at the University of Kentucky. A year later, Mallory moved from Ohio to join him and began teaching 7th grade language arts. Their little family has grown throughout their time in Bowling Green with their two dogs, Oliver and Nash. Coleton is almost finished with medical school (YAY!). This means in almost a year's time, they will be taking their adventure somewhere new. With many unknowns in the future, one thing is for certain, they're getting married! After being together for 5 years, Coleton popped the question while they were on a camping trip at Barren River Lake. They can't wait to celebrate with everyone in less than a year!
